Pirate's League

Bibbity Bobbity Boutique is a dress/make-up/hairstyle salon for any child wishing to get a princess makeover.  You can find them on Disney Cruise Line and in the theme parks.  On the ship, one of the evening's dinner theme is Pirate Night. On this night, the whole BBB is transformed, from the mirrors and entrance to the Cast Members outfits, to look Pirate-eque and they do Pirate themed make-overs for children.

 My boys rolled dice to choose their pirate names and the Cast Members referred to them by their Pirate name until they were finished.  The kids choose their own make-up and it is applied by the Cast Member.  When they finish, they can get their photo in front of The Pirate’s League sign.

Our sons could not figure out why they were the only ones on the ship when we left our rooms that didn’t have pirate gear on.  I had not prepared them for Pirate Night because I had booked time at The Pirate’s League, an overhaul of the typical Bibbity Bobbity Boutique, where all children can choose from three levels of a Pirate makeover.  

We chose the middle priced makeover ($99 as of June 2023) - which included a vest, belt, sword, eye patch, backpack bag, necklace, do-rag, earring, and professional Pirate make-up.

The whole set-up was themed well and perfect for our 7 and 3 year old boys. I'm not sure that a child older than 8-9 would enjoy it as much.  My three year old enjoyed it but was nervous to put on the gear.  Children must be at least 3 to participate! 

The only downside was that we had the early, first, dinner seating at 5:30pm.  I wanted the boys to be Pirate dressed for dinner so I came back early from Castaway Cay to get them showered and to the makeover.  

Before you book, consider the following:

See what evening your cruise will celebrate Pirate Night - if it's on your Castaway Cay Day and you haven't ever been there, maybe hold off on The Pirate's League - especially if you have early dining  However, if you are at the late dinner seating, you would be fine to visit The Pirate's League on Castaway Cay Day.  

For $99, and the amount of time and effort they put into our kids, I would say yes.

The make-up stayed on all night, yet came off easily with these make-up remover towelettes.

They got a ton of gear to go with their outfit and make-up.

This experience made them feel like a huge part of the night's theme.

It was worth the money to get them in Pirate gear for the night without having to tote any of it along with us in our suitcase.  It was also an easy 15-20 minutes of our day that made them feel like something was special and just for them.  I would recommend this activity onboard any Disney Cruise Line Vessel!  Arrrrr…..
