Cabana Review at Castaway Cay

As Concierge Level Guests, any room occupying a cabana for the day is given the opportunity to get escorted to the tram via golf cart.  (I have heard rumblings of the golf cart taking you all the way to check in for the cabanas but I can’t confirm this.)  As we were staying in one of the royal suites, we had an escort off the boat and were fortunate to have the golf cart take us directly to our cabana where the concierge staff checked us in and showed us around. (Side note: the golf cart on and off the ship was delightful and saved a lot of time.  But because my boys have never been to Castaway before, we walked the stretch of beach to shop and see Pelican’s Plunge!)

The cabana is stocked with snacks and drinks. There are towels there for you to use and a safe for your valuables.  It comes with lounge chairs in the cabana and on the beach. There are also sand chairs for you to use and umbrellas already put in place when you arrive.  There are couches in the cabana and a place with a curtain for a pack-n-play to house a toddler or baby for a nap. (See my pictures for more details!)  The cabana also came with sand toys and rafts - which my boys used all day long!

Cabana #9 was our home for the day and the cabana you see in the pictures - all accurate as of June 2023.  It was the perfect location to both sets of restrooms - as I was potty training a toddler! It was close enough to Cookie’s Too that we got lunch easily and ate at the picnic tables for before heading back to the cabana.  Food can be walked back to the cabana too and this was close enough if we had wanted to do that.  (It was also close enough to grab ice cream before they closed up for the afternoon!)

The same golf cart that picked you up from the boat will pick you up at your cabana to take you back.   We let our concierge hosts know that we were ready to head back to the ship.  We had to wait about 5 minutes for the golf cart to drop another cabana off and we got our tired legs in the golf cart and away we went!   We back on the ship in no time with no extra walking or wasted time!
